Why We Exist
The Old Way Isn't Working
Every day, officers across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho transport arrestees to emergency departments for medical clearances that could be handled on-site in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost. The ER was never designed for this function. Law enforcement agencies were never meant to absorb these costs. And the documentation that comes out of most ER clearances doesn’t serve the agency’s needs.
Blue Line Medical was created to fix that. We dispatch licensed nurse practitioners and physicians directly to jails and booking facilities — reducing ER transports, returning officers to duty faster, and generating documentation that actually works for law enforcement operations.

A Team That Understands Both Sides
We are a team with backgrounds in healthcare, healthcare administration, and law enforcement operations. We understand both sides of this problem — the clinical requirements of a medical clearance and the operational reality of a patrol unit that can’t afford to lose an officer to a four-hour ER wait.
Our providers are licensed, credentialed, and selected for their ability to work effectively in a custody environment. This is not a clinical office practice. Our people understand the setting, the pace, and the stakes.
